No.3 is an interpretation on the passage of time. It is exclusive to ones own unique experiences in that what may be mundane to one may be considered otherwise to another. The space represented is a prelude to these experiences as well as foreshadow of what has taken place and what never will. This show acts as a gateway into another dimension revealing fragments from the past and the unknown. The objects are based upon the domestic environment; they speak about the everyday, processes and the overlooked. No.3 will explore the concept of moving space and depict this idea of ‘home.’ The ‘ordinary’ is recognized, given importance and meaning beyond the exterior. Christo and Jeanne -Claude are an inspiration for my own work, their use fluidity and fabric resonates with me. Time is of the essence with their work, as in much of their work only having documentation as proof of its existence. My work also has an ageing quality similar to its mimicked objects – they become dysfunctional and disposable over time. This show also comments on my own personal experience as an evolving artist and the creative process.
