cavitation sphereology: bubblevoid performativity
Bubble sequences in collaboration with Robert Saye and James Sethian, UC Berkeley
Gary Anderson creates works positioned in the uneasy space between experience and interpretation. Working with technologists, choreographers and physicist, he creates ephemeral performative objects made from very fragile and transient materials that, like dances, have a short endurance yet linger in memory. These objects are most often made of instrumented ice-glass matrices and are vibrantly illuminated with visual memories of past performance works, creating striking installation and projections.
