In a series of large-scale photographs, dancers Geoffrey Watson, Milo Love and James Andrews are caught in ambiguous domestic entanglements.Parallel with Australia’s burgeoning queer diversity, CHINTZ offers subjects equivocal in gender and motive: neither serious, nor subjects of ridicule. CHINTZ uses textiles, dance, portraiture and performance to describe a state of non-conformity simultaneously kitsch, unnerving and pretty.
